Below are some examples of our work.

The Prostate Cancer Charity use the Artez system for all of their online registration and fundraising needs. The Artez system gives the fundraising and event teams more control over the look and feel of their pages and greater control in the areas of event fundraising and registration.

In 2009, they launched an Online Christmas Shop for the first time allowing supporters to purchase cards and gifts online. One of the biggest benefits of using the Artez Purchase module is that it allows shoppers to top up their purchase wtih a donation. To date, 60% of The Prostate Cancer Charity's shoppers have also made a donation.

“We liked the combination of how easy it is to use, how seamlessly it links with our website and that we could process all donations, or ders and event registrations in one place.”

“Artez has allowed us to sell goods on the internet for the first time. We hope this is more convenient for people to go online to order, and will reach some new audiences.”

The Prince’s Trust: Palace to Palace Cycle Ride

The Prince's Trust helps change young lives by giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. They help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training.

The Prince's Trust: Palace to Palace Cycle Ride

The Palace to Palace Cycle Ride is a sponsored cycle ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. In 2009, registration doubled to over 3000 cyclists making this year's event the largest ever. Integrated event registration and fundraising through the Artez system allowed The Prince’s Trust to effectively manage the event. And for the first time participants were able to register and pay online for themselves and additional team members in one process. Participant and fundraising numbers have increased since the introduction of the Artez system and to date Palace to Palace has raised over £200,000.00 online.

“Participants have found the signing up process much simpler than last year and the reports are good and easy to pull off.  The support that we have had from the staff at Rapidata has been excellent.”
- Caroline Wright, Head of Events

WRVS

WRVS Logo

WRVS provides services to help people in need who might otherwise feel lonely and isolated. They work with other charities and organisations, local authorities and the NHS, meeting needs in communities across the UK.

"We can concentrate on fundraising safe in the knowledge that our supporter's direct debits will be set up, administered and collected on time" says Michael Dent, Deputy Fundraising Director at WRVS.

"We get the reports promptly from Rapidata detailing who has paid and cancelled their donations, which reconcile to our Bank account each month. WRVS couldn’t have found a better partner - lots of practical tips and hassle free direct debit processing from day one!"

The Big Issue Foundation

Big Issue

The Big Issue Foundation's core ethos is self help. They offer support to homeless and socially excluded people who seek to gain control of their lives and help them move off the streets and into a home and a job.

"We traditionally used Standing Orders for regular donations and we decided that it was time to use direct debits as a more easy and efficient way of getting people to give regularly"
says Anthony North, Fundraising Manager at the Big Issue.

"We used Rapidata to help us secure our direct debit Service User Number and set up the systems to manage and report payments. Rapidata organised the whole thing on our behalf, the set-up could not have been smoother. When we asked our supporters to transfer to direct debits a good proportion of them actually increased the value of their gift. We knew that we were not always claiming gift aid correctly but now we use direct debit, the paper trail is so much easier to manage and get right. In the past, when we were using standing orders, 15 to 20% of people saying yes to regular giving never actually followed through. With direct debit we had a far better conversion rate."

The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign

Royal Marsden
The Royal Marsden uses cutting-edge techniques to treat cancer and does everything it can to help improve their patients' survival rates - whether it's new drug therapies and better equipment or facilities.

"We had been thinking for some time about organising direct debits and early last year we decided to test out both direct debits and telemarketing. The test involved using two agencies and we had great results from both. Our problem was trying to get Paperless Direct Debit sorted with the bank, we realised we needed expert advice and turned to Rapidata for help"
says Isabella Douglas, Marketing & Communications Manager at Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

"Rapidata were able to sort out Paperless Direct Debit for us very quickly by liaising with the bank and with our finance department. They helped us 'join up the dots' by integrating the data side with our various financial systems and Raisers Edge. From our point of view Rapidata pulled all the strands together to get things right at the back end. We are planning, with their support, to re-run our telephone campaign this September. I think it is fair to say we underestimated the amount of time and effort required to get set up with paperless direct debit so Rapidata’s help was invaluable. "We are really happy with the service they continue to provide."

The Blue Cross

Blue Cross Logo

The Blue Cross
is Britain's pet charity, providing practical support, information and advice for pet and horse owners. Through its network of animal adoption centres it re-homes over six thousand animals each year. The Blue Cross has 4 animal hospitals which provide veterinary care for the pets of people who cannot afford private vets' fees.

"Rapidata have helped us to develop our online Direct Marketing strategy" says Maria Paul, Senior Direct Marketing Officer, The Blue Cross.

"The eDirectDebit system allows us to track online responses to our campaigns on a daily basis so that we can refine as we go along. The team at Rapidata ensured it was quick and easy to set-up and our edirect debit site has been fully customised to look like our own web pages."

War on Want

War on Want logo

War on Want
fights poverty in developing countries in partnership and solidarity with people affected by globalisation. War on Want campaigns for workers’ rights and against the root causes of global poverty, inequality and injustice.

"We decided to move to Rapidata for a number of reasons" said Corin Pearce, IT and Supporter Services Manager, War on Want. "Principally because we were keen to become a direct debit originator ourselves, so that our name appears on our supporters' bank statements, clarifying that donations are being paid to us. Rapidata's pricing also meant that we were able to reduce our costs and at the same time receive the standard of service we were looking for.

The move from our old supplier to Rapidata meant that data needed to be sorted out and properly managed. There were certainly some challenges, throughout the process we felt confident that Rapidata were in control of the situation even when communicating on our behalf with our old supplier. We receive a great service from Rapidata."
